Instruction for using the Scannx Book ScanCenter

The BookScan Center

There are five high-tech smart BookScan Centers located on the third floor (southwest of the reference desk) for anyone to use (free of charge). With finger-touchscreen interfaces and flatbed scanners, they are easy to use. The scanners allow students to digitize content in a variety of formats and send it via e-mail, upload to a Google Docs account, save to a USB drive, or send to a smartphone.

The BookScan Center touch screen guides the user through the scan process, including choosing the file formats, scan quality, color depth, file naming, and destinations. Scan books and documents into PDF, text-searchable PDF, JPEG, and Word file formats by simply touching the screen for the preferred file format.

The section on Scannx Book ScanCenter in this Libguide contains more information regarding Scannx Book ScanCenter instructions and functionality.
