Why should I submit content?

Academic Works provides a way for the CUNY community to store, preserve, and provide global access to its scholarly, creative, and pedagogical works

  • More discoverable by search engines such as Google, Google Scholar, and OneSearch
  • Increased citation rates
  • Hosted on a secure server and given a persistent URL to ensure long-term access
  • Freely accessible to the public, including researchers around the world who may have limited access to scholarly works
  • Share research with students and scholars who can’t access
  • Promote collaboration with colleagues at other CUNY campuses
  • Meet funder requirements
