Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) is a broad term used to group together Science, Technology , Engineering and Mathematics. It is based on the desire to integrate isolated fields into an interdisciplinary and applied approach for education and for developing new technologies. Instead of teaching the four disciplines separate, STEM integrates them together for practical purposes. This term is typically used to address an education policy or curriculum choices in schools.
