Social Work

This guide is a collection of resources to make research and library use easier for the social work students, faculty, and staff. It's designed as a central hub of information about the library & its social work-related resources.

Hours & Services

Library Hours

  • Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
  • Friday - Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • All Library services end 15 minutes prior to closing time.
  • Online Chat services run while the library is open.

The library will be closed on the following holidays in 2023:

  • Mon, 5/29 - Memorial Day
  • Mon, 6/19 - Juneteenth
  • Tue, 7/4 - Independence Day
  • Mon, 10/9 - Italian Heritage/Indigenous Peoples' Day
  • Mon, 9/4 - Labor Day
  • Any other exceptions will be noted on the library calendar

Using OneSearch

Using OneSearch to find articles, books, and more

You can use OneSearch to search all of York Library's databases at once, and there are other tools in OneSearch that can help you manage your research. Use OneSearch to:

  • Begin your research.
  • Look for a combination of books, journal articles, and/or e-books, on a specific topic.
  • Find a specific title of an article or a book, or a specific author.
  • Match a citation to an article.
  • Manage your library account.

Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)

Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) is a service through which York students, faculty, and staff may obtain library materials that do not appear in OneSearch and are not owned or subscribed to by the York College Library or are available from any other CUNY library.
